IVF and PGD

*This is a sponsored post.

Have you heard stories about people not being able to give birth? The main reason is because of infertility. However, infertility can be treated most of the time using various techniques, and one of these techniques is IVF.

IVF stands for in-vitro fertilisation. It is a technique used for fertilising egg cells from the mother with sperm from the father. This whole process is done outside the woman’s womb, hence the term “in vitro”, literally means in the test tube. IVF is a treatment in infertility that is used when other methods of achieving conception have failed.

PGD on the other hand, is a technique used with IVF to ensure that a pregnancy is free of genetics diseases. This is normally done on couples with high risk of transmitting an inherited condition to their child. Examples of such inherited diseases are cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, Huntingon’s disease and many more.

IVF1 is an in vitro fertilisation and PGD center located in Chicago and Naperville, Illinois. Their fertility expert, Dr. Randy Morris is involved in helping couples understand and resolve their infertility issues. He has been specializing in fertility and reproductive medicine since 1992 and he is also a registered member of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. IVF1 is well known for their IVF and PGD programs, but they also offers other treatment and diagnosis for other reproductive problems
